1 – 1 Coaching

When you choose one on one coaching, you and I meet at the interval of your choice for 30 or 50-minute sessions where I support you as you hold yourself accountable to achieving your goals. All the meetings take place on Zoom.

All the time, I see people who are struggling with life’s basic skills and are paralyzed because they either do not know what to do next, have trouble getting started and do not know how to get through everyday life functions.

This is where I come in, I partner with you to discover and curate a way forward by evaluating what has worked in the past while exploring new ways of doing things.

If you have decided that now is your time and that you are so ready to find out HOW to make life’s basic tasks easier, and are so done with feeling like life is so hard where you have to overcome countless obstacles to get things done then let’s schedule a time to talk/connect so that you can learn how I can support you in your critical life skills journey.
As you start exploring the unique systems and routines that suit you best, I support your exploration when you hit a roadblock and are looking for some assistance. Please note, this can be combined with Being With Joy: Learning How To Learn.

The details:

What are life’s basic/critical life skills? They are the reason why you are struggling and expending so much energy and experiencing so much tension to get through each day, each task (work, studies, and/or household chores). You are struggling with executive functioning challenges. These skills are the HOW you get things done in life, otherwise known as the following (adapted from Dawson, Guare & Guare, 2012):

  • Working memory
  • Planning/Prioritization
  • Organization
  • Time Management
  • Metacognition
  • Sustained Attention
  • Task Initiation
  • Goal-Directed Persistence
  • Flexibility

As you can see these are the basic life skills for adults and the critical skills for kids to learn.  The process begins by measuring your executive function through a few simple assessments and the results are used as the springboard to developing your goals and objectives. Once they have been developed, we will capitalize on your strengths during our meetings to help you achieve your weekly goals which you identified to support the attainment of the overall goal you identified. I possess a library of executive function resources to support your developing executive function learning and growth. 

I can assist anyone with executive function challenges and I possess deeper expertise as an ADHD life coach.

All the time, I see and speak to parents who are exhausted to the point of burnout, frustrated, exasperated, depressed, and at a loss for how to solve their parenting challenges. 

This is where I come in, I partner with you to discover and curate a way forward by evaluating what has worked in the past and exploring new ways of doing things while learning about your unique child and the challenges they face.

What this looks like:

Parenthood is not for the faint of heart! Add parenting a child with a physical and/or mental disability (ADHD, learning disabilities, etc.)/illness and your role just became exponentially more difficult. As a certified parent coach, I offer life coaching for parents where you shed the parenting habits you’ve identified as ineffective and adopt new effective habits to your skillset. Once you establish your parenting goals I can support you by teaching Shanker Self-Regulation and offering you a wealth of parenting tools to build and develop your parenting resources so that you can better support the development of your child’s resourcefulness and resilience. Think of me as the parents’ helpline!

This is where I come in, I partner with you to discover and curate a way forward by evaluating what has worked in the past and exploring new ways of doing things while learning about the science of learning and scientifically backed ways to study with impact.

The details:

As a student success coach, I offer you two options to best suit you and your needs. 

  1. Learning only:
    1. We meet weekly for 10 weeks where I teach you how to focus on your studies and how to study effectively through scientifically-backed study techniques and study habits.
  2. Learning & Implementing:
    1. We meet weekly for 10 weeks where I teach you how to focus on your studies and how to study effectively through scientifically-backed study techniques and study habits.
    2. Once the 10 weeks of teaching are complete. I support you as you identify your academic goals so that at each subsequent meeting I partner with you as you develop action and accountability plans to help you achieve your goals. 

Please note, this can be combined with Being With Joy: Developing Your Critical Life Skills.

This is where I come in, I partner with you to discover and curate a way forward by evaluating what has worked in the past and exploring new ways of doing things while learning how to find the time for the important things in life.

If you have decided that now is your time and that you are so ready to find out HOW to reach your goals with more ease, and are so done feeling frustrated by the lack of time in your life to do what you want to do then let’s schedule a time to talk/connect so that you can learn how I can support you in your journey.

What this looks like:

You identify your overall goals. Once your overall goals have been identified, you will identify meeting specific goals you want to develop action plans around which will support the overall goals you originally identified.
